Brexit irony overload

'Taking back control' might mean the economy goes to shite and that we don't actually get any more power. At least we can make our own blue passports though... made in France.

I really don't care where our passports are made but it does kind of expose the irony of the cluster-f**k that Brexit is. Also, that free-market capitalism is unavoidably international.

N.B. The Daily Mail is a hard-right UK tabloid and a loud-mouthed champion of Brexit. And no, I don't feel sorry for them.

And right across Europe doubtless folk will be laughing their arse off at the irony.
I swear, only a UK Tory government.......

@Burnley123 ROFLMAO

This would actually be funnier, if the "nationalists" had not set the world, a minium of a decade behind.
Hate the Daily Mail mentality.

But yes, why not look towards production in the uk, it doesn't make sense.

@InOtterWords I agree.

For me, it just brings home the irony that Brexit was about a petty nostalgic nationalism that can't exist. The Daily Hail loves free-market capitalism but also wants sovereignty which somehow rises above that.

Another of the many ironies is that the Brexit nostalgia seemingly harks back to the bygone days before the EU when Britain actually had a big welfare state and a lot of nationalised industries.

@InOtterWords someone or several Tory peers or Lords will have a business link or interest in the company to be awarded the passport contract. Trust me
@Ironicman probably
