@SW-User The point I'm making transcends any cultural context or specifics of these cases.

One rarely has widespread violence against women and girls without corresponding criminal pathology close to home. One can generalize that to any forms of violence. Why? This pathology is ontological, it's a state of being. It manifests everywhere the sociopath goes.

So when I read of child trafficking doubled down into child abuse and homicide my gut is that there is a family and community antecedent for that. No doubt. And poking into it a bit that seemed to be confirmed.

You can take my comment in multiple ways. One is the defense of brown girls which I can see taken as a deflection. But the deeper point is that as long as misogyny and violence against women is tolerated as "culture" in these communities then everyone is at risk. That's the deep level of bullshit to be called out.

@CopperCicada Well we are in agreement there -I am curious where your belief that there is a 'family and community antecedent' was confirmed. As I've suggested I believe the grooming, rape, gang rape and racial vilification of thousands of girls within one town by a gang of pedophiles was only possible within a 'perfect storm' (albeit one replicated across the country)

The misogyny underlying it is surely a many headed beast affecting everyone coming into contact with it
