I'm curious. How many dislike guns because they were not raised around them?

I wasn't raised around them but a close call with an intruder will change your mind about guns.

I was raised shooting guns. That's precisely why I support strict regulation.

I was not raised around guns and didn't like or dislike them because of it.

My "dislike" if you want to call it that, stems from losing a relative to one that was given to her without much thought.

I don't want to ban guns, but I do think they should be carefully regulated to ensure that, as much as possible, they don't get into the wrong hands.

Guns aren't bad, IMO, but they are dangerous and should be treated as such.

Just like I don't like being a passenger in a car I cannot control, I have never felt safe around a gun in someone else's hands.

I know what I would do with a gun if it was in my hands and how I would be safe. I would never be around anyone with a gun like that as I wouldn't trust them.

I don't think being raised around them has much to do with it. I think a gun in the hands of anyone can be dangerous or useful. Depends on a person's mind. Anything can be a weapon.

I was raised around guns and dislike them. Just got lucky that I don't have the 'fear' gene.

I own a couple and enjoy going out shooting every once in awhile. I’m simply not a crazy ammosexual. Gun control works and is needed.

I don’t dislike them but certainly uncomfortable around anything that can kill a person until I learn how to use it safely. like cutting things in the kitchen with a big sharp knife or driving a car
