With the MeToo Movement and the Gun Control crowd, will Trump be re-elected in 2020 ?

It gets harder, and harder by the day. And Im not even talking about the Russian scandal. If these school shootings keep up, Trump is gone.
He wont have a chance in 2020. These kids, the No Excuse crowd, they are mad. He is done.
Do you agree.

Idk yo....my dad just got back an additional $50 on his paycheck so maybe times arent so rough 🤷
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@VioletDreams That is not the point. Money will not solve this cultural crisis that we are seeing right now. But of course I already told you you would see more money on your check. ☺
VioletDreams · 36-40, F
@Zonuss We've survived worse. We'll be fine.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@VioletDreams Of course we will.

School shooting HAS been going on BEFORE Trump got elected. You can't take the blame off the one who pulls the trigger and target anyone else.
And as far as #MeToo, those women should of spoke decades ago. That's what makes it hard to believe today about all of them being harassed one way or another. Many are seeking attention and I'm not buying their stories. My question is why now?? Then again for those who never said a word for more than 2 decades, I personally don't give a damn. They made it just fine not telling or worried about those who got affected, why should one care now?
Crickets · 46-50, F
@softspokenman There's absolutely no reason to kill. Period!
Think about it. @Crickets
Crickets · 46-50, F
@softspokenman When you accept that it's not their fault they killed because of mental stage they are in, you're saying it's not your fault to kill as an excuse. That's making a problem become a greater problem only because it's the excuse everyone will start using.
Mental issues isn't a reason or excuse to kill.

To be honest, we can't really blame trump for this as school shootings have been happening for awhile way before his term in office. But lets consider the facts here, that it seems like nothing has been done. Everyone thinks they have the "answers" but yet literally nothing has been done whatsoever which makes me think that there are politicians that are satisfied with how everything is now. People are too tied into their own political parties opinions and I doubt Trump will sway in another direction because if he did he would lose favor of his own political party....politics is more a game about money and popularity than changing peoples lives for the better

✅ a good a few things at least it’s a start for a discussion if anyone ever want to have one in FL. Doing nothing has gotten us nothing other than finger pointing. @JarJarBoom
JarJarBoom · 41-45, F
@jackjjackson Literally nothing has been done
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Sad and wrong as per usual with professional politicians. @JarJarBoom

It seemed impossible that the president would be elected the first time yet here we are. My working theory is that the president wouldnot allow himself to run and lose. So he may say in 2019 something along the lines of I’ve done a super job here my work is done. I want to be with my family and then not run. If he does run count on him winning. He won’t allow himself to suffer the humiliation of defeat.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson I think he might just opt out before he gets pushed out. ☺
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
That’s my point. The president’s Ego won’t allow him to lose. However don’t forget thet he had no chance to win in 2016. Should be an interesting next few years. So far his strategy is actually working. He’s creating a lot of noise and getting a lot done while people are caught up in the noise. @Zonuss
I'm just going to say this. We have to grow the hell up. This whole notion that there are "movements" to destroy presidents is fundamentally fucked up. I'm sick of hearing this. I've spent much of the last couple decades hearing just this. It's bullshit. It's called politics. From the moment you're elected people are trying to club you to death like a baby seal. It happened to Clinton, Bush, Obama and it's going to happen to Trump.

Trump is not done. He's far from done. He could turn each and every one of these things into leadership opportunities. That is what a leader does.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
You want the behind the scenes political elite deciding social issues? Not me. No thank you. @room101
room101 · 51-55, M
@jackjjackson So does that mean that every debate would be public? Does that mean that there would be no need for a Senate and Congress or would they be open to the public?
room101 · 51-55, M
@jackjjackson "I’d rather that than a politician beholden to special interests."

But those special interests are always corporate. They are always from organisations who have a profit motive in pushing for a given policy or for blocking a given policy. And yet, your ideal "politician" comes from that corporate world.

Are you not actually giving power to the very people that you seem to be railing against?

After how Trump has behaved after this high school tragedy, he won’t stand a chance.
Oh god you are sold on your own smart. Dunno what you need this poor dummy to do her book learnin's fer.

@KayraJordyn nope just replying to your stupid response. now you know how it feels.
I'm sorry, how what feels?
You may be right that energizing these forces will tip the scales, but pronouncing it as a done deal is premature.

Even as he energized the gun control and me too crowds, he's also energized the "Cold Hands" gun folks and misogynists (along with mothers of sons who might be accused, and all that I really see here is the culture wars getting hotter and more pervasive.

Putting kids in the picture just adds more fuel to the fire. They're already talking about how these kids have been corrupted by Soros, and given the Jewish enrollment, its only a matter of time before that gets pulled into the mix.

Whether there is an explicit Russian connection with Trump and his flaming the fires of discord and dissent seems secondary to the fact that its happening.

It almost seems like you're saying the fire will burn itself out if it gets too hot. But at the moment, its still spreading and looking for more fuel, and nobody seems able to, or even interested in digging fire pits or fighting it in any way.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@MistyCee I do believe that the gun control theme is being influenced by Soros though.
But guns are not really the problem. It the mind of people. People are angry, frustrated, mad, and full of hate. And you never know what might make them snap or go off on you.
@Zonuss I'm sure Soros and others are probably giving money, just like the Koch Brothers and others are giving money on the other side.

And I'm totally with you that guns are not the problem, but restricting them (not banning them), makes it less likely that an angry person will kill dozens when he snaps.

And, IMO, I'd rather live with gun free zones in schools, airplanes, sporting events, etc., than having more guns, even in the hands of professionals, in those places and trusting that everyone will behave themselves because they fear for their own lives. Lots of shooters dont' expect to get out alive.

I know its only a piece of the puzzle, but I'll be damned if I think we shouldn't do anything about this little piece because we don't where to put all the bigger and more important pieces.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Gun free and drug free zones must be applicable to EVERYBODY in those zones. @MistyCee
hunkalove · 61-69, M
He will be gone and on his way to prison soon, and definitely by a year from now when Congress is Democrat. The question is what Democrat can beat Pence in 2020. Joe Kennedy.3 or Cory Booker?
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@hunkalove Pence is an easy defeat. Gillibrand, Booker, and Kennedy would kill Pence.
SW-User
He'll make it through.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@SW-User How ?
SW-User
@Zonuss be patient.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@SW-User No.
Crickets · 46-50, F
How has Trump done YOU wrong?
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Crickets He hasnt. ☺
ladycae · 100+, F
i don't think he has a snowball's chance in hell of being reelected
I don't know. I do know, in history, sometimes it takes a social crisis to change an abusive, greedy, corrupt, leadership. "The greatest leaders understand that it is not they who are great it is the people who they lead that are. (?)

People give their lives to protect the lives of great Leaders.

@MasterLee Why? It's no real political obstacle whatsoever.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@CopperCicada exactly. It won't make any difference in Trump's reelection
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
Even without these two things he would be very unlikely to win in 2020
tenente · 100+, M
the troll president will not be defeated. all politicians are powerless against trump's ability to cause quarrels, upset people, insult entire nations, posting inflammatory, extraneous off-topic messages to create distraction and discord. he will reap his gains and leave america to rot. no one will ever defeat the mighty troll president - trump is immortal.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@tenente No he is mortal.
