What do you think of Jordan Peterson?

The short answer for me is that I disagree with a lot of his politics but find his psychological insights fascinating (and ahem... useful).

He is certainly extremely intelligent and completely obliterates Kathy Newman in her awful interview. I'm reading his book and its really interesting.

I did not know him, and really like his views, and the fact that he gives solid arguments. The interviewer, on the other side, is really obnoxious and irritant, just parroting cliches.

Our problem is that the western world has become so obsessed with equality that we have become afraid of differences, seeing them as a synonime, or at least a seed of unequality, where very often have to do with being complimentary rather than being superior or inferior.

@Cierzo There is lots of stuff by him on YouTube and his book is interesting.
WoodyAq · M
I think he makes excellent points eloquently.

I asked that question too. He is refreshing in this world of PCness
MethDozer · M
I think he's spot on a good majority of the time. One of the best social critics and philosophers going at this time.

@Burnley123 She was pretty cringy and being purposefully ignorant. He was right on every account and the best should could do was try to spin by putting words in his mouth he didn't say and try to move goal posts.

@MethDozer I think cultural Marxism is a huge straw man which only exists on university campuses. He has been attacked by SJW nutters so he thinks it matters. He's not a political theorist.
MethDozer · M
@Burnley123 It does matter. What do you think sets the narratives and where do you think they go? That's where you find the next rising.
Identity politics is huge right now and strong.
