Do u believe that Dr Kings dream is now a nightmare or a reality ? 馃憡

I'm speaking of Dr Martin Luther King. He was the civil rights leader who fought for your freedom. What do you think. In this Trump era of racial prejudice...bigotry...and hate. Some say we as a society have taken a step back. In race relations. How do you feel about Dr Kings dream today.

There's still a lot that needs to happen in order for that 'dream' to become a reality.
America may have 'moved on' from 'outward segregation', but while there are still a too large percentage of black people struggling for jobs; decent housing; decent healthcare; decent education; college opportunities; fear from certain law enforcement departments.....

@Picklebobble2 Fake stats. I see people of all races doing crimes here every day and don't even get caught. Much of what goes on is off record
If you were an intelligent person you would know this
Picklebobble256-60, M
@Zonuss ok that's twice you've insulted me with no cause so i think this ends here.
like i said, read the statistics and when you see more social housing and job creation than prison place provision, you might have a point.
Zonuss41-45, M
@Picklebobble2 Like I said those are fake stats. What goes on off record isn't being recorded.

I think it's a great dream..people judged by the content of their characters. Unfortunately, Dr King's dream is at the mercy of people, and people of all races have spoiled that dream for decades.

@Nat15 Well said
Nat15F
@Zonuss thank you.

@lacsar No. It means half of the upper middle class blacks have moved into those forbidden neighborhoods. 馃檪
Zonuss41-45, M
@SW-User And that is sad.
celine21122-25, F
@CopperCicada Exactly!
Zonuss41-45, M
@katielass No you're way off. The GDP was at 3% during Clintons reign in the White House. You had the dot.com boom. Windows 95. And Wal Mart was becoming a household name. The 90s were booming. Bush killed jobs and Obama bought them back. The unemployment rate went from 8% to 4% while he was in office.Trump is piggybacking off Obamas success. Now here we are again with taxes going up and gas prices too
.And you were saying
Zonuss41-45, M
@nudistsueaz Obamas policies is why we are seeing this economic revival. According to your logic about Reagan. You're confused
nudistsueaz61-69, F
@Zonuss More like Clinton piggy-backed off Reagan & Bush. I do give him credit for not messing with what was going on, he sat back and reaped the benefits. He was smart enough not to mess with what was working.
nudistsueaz61-69, F
@Zonuss Barry did everything he could to kill the economy.

One thing Donald Trump didn't do-- is create the prejudice, bigotry, and hate we have in America today. That's old and has deep roots. We haven't taken a step back. We've just revealed what's been there the whole time.
ladycae100+, F
@CopperCicada he made all that racism hatred etc socially acceptable. i agree it was always there but he made it an acceptable way for anyone to act., in fact, he promotes it.
Heartlander80-89, M
Dr. King was a good man and his dream is still alive.

I also think it's been somewhat distorted and weaponized by leftist political stooges seeking to divide rather than bring America closer together.
celine21122-25, F
I don't see the connection...enlighten me
Zonuss41-45, M
@celine211 [center]I'm talkin about the racism in today's world.
celine21122-25, F
@Zonuss Yeah but why do you think King's dream is a nightmare?
Zonuss41-45, M
@celine211 I don't. I'm asking the people here what they think.
