Americans really don't want equality of income and assets, do they?

Of course we don't. We each want to keep part of what is ours and belongs to us and decide for ourselves how much to share and with who. After all we work hard to earn what we get. Why should others be entitled to things they did not work for and did not earn? It would make no sense at all.
