Do you think President Trump should get rid of the DACA program?

Why or why not?

Nah. It's a little fucked up to screw students like that.

@WINNER The jump-ahead thing bothers me. I've known people who have done everything properly, filled out their paperwork, submitted their criminal background checks, had sponsors for them living inside the USA who also signed for them and submitted other required documents and waited for a long time to be allowed to come into the USA...they waited to get their green cards and did what was required, all of that took time. This jumping ahead is not fair to the ones who have done everything they were asked to do and waited patiently for their time to immigrate.

Get rid of every single program where the tax payer is relied on to financially cover a persons life choices.
The government isn't your parents and isn't your babies daddy!

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout What about Trump breaking a campaign promise, and going with the extension of DACA into an amnesty program? Not at all. It's the right thing to do. Or do you think I'm mad because Trump realized that he cannot do anything, without compromising? Not at all? Or that Trump realized that he's just a politician? Not at all.
Two words; "TRUMP" = "CHAOS" @Northwest
The USA should get rid of Trump.

No, if I remember correctly it's for people who were brought here as kids. If you were brought here very young, it's not like you're ethically culpable for it, and if they've lived here for years, maybe as long as they can remember, it'd be cruel to send them back to countries that they know little or nothing about. I don't know what the specific solution would be, but deporting people who probably only know America as home isn't it.

And if that's not compelling, think of it from an economic perspective. If they grew up here taking advantage of US public services and we deport them, we get 0% return from them. On the other hand, if they stay and work and pay taxes, they can offset that bill.

It's not within his authority to get rid of it. His act in rescinding obama's illegal EO is merely a formality. The 5th circuit has already ruled it invalid and we know the responsibility for immigration law falls on congress, it is not a presidential authority as the past president seemed to think.

@katielass 90% of the people in the US just can't understand that. Sad as it is.
Hundreds of high school and college students in Albuquerque walked out to protest the presidents decision. The decision affects over 7400 NM students. Another example of the chaos that Trump is great at accomplishing, calling attention to himself and dividing the country.

@SimplyTracie, I agree. McCain was right, "WE...don't answer to Him we answer to the people who we represent".

Trump represents Himself.

I think deporting a kid who doesn't even speak Spanish to Tijuana would be hysterical!

@katielass I admit that I'm not smart. 😂😂😂

@SimplyTracie Oh you're smart but if you're going to be ill informed no one will see that.

@katielass Yes and I know his campaign promises. Trump began his presidential campaign on undocumented immigrants, claiming Mexicans were "bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists." "Likewise, tremendous infectious disease is pouring across the border."

@SW-User Well, the animosity between Mexicans and blacks is nothing new. But they are and have been taking a lot of jobs that blacks should have had. When will the democrats start talking to their constituents about staying in school, not having babies in your teens. don't they want them to share in the American dream? You are going to be poor your entire life is you make certain choices. It's rare for someone to get out of poverty if they don't have a high school diploma or if they have kids while they are kids. Btw, blacks are beginning to wake up and are voting gop, numbers are not earthshattering but it's starting to happen.

Yes. From what I understand I think it's very flawed.

No. It is wrong that he did.

No. Because the Constitution supports it already. Too late. 🙂
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
Yes. This is a immigration issue and should have been handled by the Congress, years ago. Congress didn't address the issue and pass the needed laws, they did nothing like they always do.
