@Egg01 It is understandable why someone would be against Scottish independence and I certainly don't like how some indy supporters demomise him for it but it is a little annoying as if he was from Scotland he is exactly the kind of guy who would be all for it I'm sure.

But he isn't. I don't demonise him, I just don't agree with him on independence. He strikes me as a decent, compassionate politician and man. I do see others bring him down though and it makes me cringe. @thatscottishguy If you go to the Wings Over Scotland website I think they'll send you one for free. It gives you the facts and debunks the myths about independence. It's just a wee book so not too much reading!

@thatscottishguy You're right, that was very wrong. I read the book before all that came out and it was very enlightening. I can't support his views on Hilsborough though, I wont be visiting that sight any more. Thank you for enlightening me.
