Is there a distinction between the agenda of the racist alt-right and the Republican Party ?

Jentlemen · 46-50, M
Yes. There wear different clothes. Beside that....not really
InvaderNice · 26-30, M
The burden of proof lies on those accusing the GOP of being racist. And you have yet to prove it.

@RodionRomanovitch It's common for someone to avoid explaining their point of view after an admission that it's not understood, because it's an easy copout. I'm sorry you think politics are about being correct all the time.

@InvaderNice I'll try and get back to you once I have decpihered that.

@RodionRomanovitch You ridiculed me for not understanding something and now you do the same.

The Alt right doesn't represent the Republicans. They have no problem dissavoling them. Does the Steve Scalise shooter represent the Democratic Party? I would hope not.

@LvChris I do not understand where people are getting this idea. He has a track record of condemning all the hate groups, perhaps there is a group he forgot? However, I almost never hear the media or anyone else practicing what they preach.

The alt-right is protectionist and anti free trade, as well as being opposed to the foreign policy both sides have been pushing. So they differ on that.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@CaptainCanadia But their leader , and President , is also protectionist and anti-free trade and was also (until last night) anti-interventionist. America first ?

@RodionRomanovitch Well Trump was elected as an outsider. He didn't have the support of the party machinery. The party and Trump are different entities.

That said his policies are confused and contradictory. What he says and what he doesn't aren't gonna line up. So he's walking back a few things, particularly since he recognized that war helps his popularity.

One has focus.

Yes. At least as far as the founder... Pro-choice, pro single payer healthcare, and the vast majority of republican citizens are not white supremacists. Some republicans who felt that the party doesn't represent them anymore fell into the trap of thinking that the alt right was something it isn't which made their numbers seem larger than they are. That's my opinion.
If they don't want it assumed that there isn't one, those few moderate Republicans better speak tf up NOW !!! 😒
Cierzo · M
To begin with, not all the people in the alt-right think the same at all.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@Cierzo The racist ones do.
