Why do many Americans not want unverisal healthcare?

Cuba had free education & Universal healthcare!

And look at the mess Cuba is in

@SW-User Those figures are way off. There's a lot of misinformation in the US. It's one sick puppy
SW-User
@SW-User so are you I've lived in Europe I'll take the United States anyday
SW-User
@SW-User Fair enough, but just don't ignore/deny the issues the US has.

Because a lot of Americans are stupid and indoctrinated into hyper capitalism.
SW-User
@Psychoticenlightment I understand that but read the book "rules for radicals" by Saul Alinsky it explains health care for profit versus government health care

@SW-User You should really read some Marxists.

Africa. Hondoras. Well, most of South America. Mostly capitalist. Rome, Greece, Mexico. All pretty bad problems, with capitalism. Capitalism has failed them.

Denmark is an example of a great capitalist/socialist balance. At least, for now. But. Capitalism only works while the means of production are being grabbed. Once conglomorates and monopolies are formed, they influence government, corrupt government, and consume until they destroy the country. Ancient Rome is a good example of this, though it fell to a variety of factors, economic corruption was a good part of it.

Sweden is an example of pure socialism which works.

Capitalism is stable. For awhile. So long as you take from the poor. E.g., these 3rd world countries which are rich in natural resources, but dirt poor. Those Chinese kids in sweat shops that you were talking about, right.

But, it all ends in Ancient Rome, as the wealthy consume more and more until there is nothing left.

Not just flaws. Fatal flaws.

Its my belief that people naturally want to cooperate with one another. Capitalism serves as a system which enforces greed and individualism, marring our nature. How we were before large cities and countries. Tribal humans were quite peaceful; everyone cooperated. We can make a new system which bolsters *that* nature, rather than dog-eat-dog, every-man-for-himself transmogrification of capitalism. It's quite possible. The Venus Project is the best idea I've found. A society built upon human growth and efficiency, rather than some meaningless numbers, infinite consumption, and planned obsolescence.

The rich and greedy who make billions off of the industry, from big pharmaceutical companies to the mutualfunds in your 401k accounts..
They inturn influence those who make the laws.. that is why you will not see universal healthcare..

Trump is on record as saying universal healthcare of other countries are better, but even he refused to implement any form of universal healthcare in his plan. They dance all around it, but they won't touch anything that interferes with the massive money making machine.. the real people in power won't let him or anyone touch it
Deadcutie · 18-21, F
Actually if you polled it, the vast majority would welcome universal healthcare, the problem is, there is a lot of money to be had keeping it status quo.. if the healthcare industry was a country, it would be the 5th largest economy in the world
SW-User
@Deadcutie Yep :(
America has almost 400 million people and it would be a mess to implement although I do agree to the basic principle of universal healthcare...it should be left to the states tbh

One works hard they get healthcare through their employer.

You lack life experience. That's not your fault. I have been at this longer. I have great health insurance and probably always will. It's something I planned for after high school.

Nothing you say makes sense. Actually I'm going to sleep and I sleep much better knowing I can go to a doctor anytime I want. Life is good.
They also had a fucking dictator.

If life was so great in Cuba why did so many escape by the boatload....or not even that, they swam to freedom ?
SW-User
@Underconstruction And the shiploads of refugees trying to escape the US bombed-out countries?!!!
MrWarfare94 · 26-30, M

@Psychoticenlightment perfect. Go to your local chamber of commerce and pay for healthcare. Tell me then it's not one giant fucking subsidy.
