Do you find this at all disturbing??

Pretty much every President has been compared to Hitler or something Nazi in the past 20 years? This is no different. Everything is labeled racist or Nazi now.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@ravenwind43 It is smart to do what you need to do to ensure your own survival, and that of your loved ones. I do the same. But it isn't incompatible with working to try to make the world a better place at the same time. I guess the difference between us is that you have given up out of frustration. I am frustrated as well, but I haven't given up yet. I understand where you are coming from.

I think improvements to the world and people come from other people, not the government. I almost never get into politic talk because it solves nothing and is derisive most of the time and I prefer to avoid it.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@ravenwind43 Real change always comes from people, often from individuals. In the end, even if we don't like it, the government IS the people. Not only can it change, it must change with time, and it is people who drive that change. That is what you are seeing play out politically right now on both sides. I agree much of it is (needlessly) derisive and uncivil.

Just another far right turd on the planet making a noise and saying nothing of consequence
Fernie · F
@Picklebobble2 as time goes by though...they are coming out of their hidey holes which is terrifying...as if someone turned the lights out and the filthy roaches are coming out into the room
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Fernie Oh i've no love for them either !
But like i say, i'd rather know who they are than see groups of people dressed in bedsheets and hoods.
Fernie · F
@Picklebobble2 agreed!
There are bad people who support Trump. There are bad people who support just about anything or anyone you can think of. At least he's not urging the crowd to kill the opposition, and kill police. They are still idiots though, and not good for conservatives at all.
Yeah, so are the masses of people marching down the street screaming
"WHAT DO WE WANT? DEAD COPS!
"WHEN DO WE WANT THEM? NOW!" There are countless videos of the same types of behavior coming from 'another perspective' only these videos are calling for murder and even genocide against law enforcement and whites.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@puck61 LOL remember that pic of Hillary in a loving lip lock embrace with a former KKK member? I do. We all know their pretty chummy.
@SatanBurger There's so much dirt on the alt left, they could out produce Imperial Valley!
ravenwind43 · 51-55, F
I find pretty much all politics disturbing....
donontario · 70-79, M
This kind of thing turns my stomach.
Fernie · F
@donontario Mine too! This country was never just "white"...the Native Americans were here first. These people are deranged and dangerous
donontario · 70-79, M
Exactly, an old quote read, "I may not agree with your opinion, but I will fight to the death, your right to express it." I always felt that serving my country (Canada)was supporting that opinion, this kind of crap challenges my service and saddens and angers me.
Fernie · F
@donontario "sad and angry" me too...these are the unpleasant feelings I hope will keep us motivated here to not let these maniacs gain power...

This is where very bad things start.

I'm not convinced. Germany was the most evolved and open country in Europe before WW1. Bad people exploit fear and change. @Fernie
Fernie · F
@SW-User How evolved could they have been in 1938? There are the trump supporters with the same mindset as the German people were then...which is why they see trump as a good leader and follow him BLINDLY...I'm pretty sure we are much more awake and aware than they were back then.... basically trump has his fan base left in terms of popularity
SW-User
By 1938, they had lost WW1, were paying reparations to France and England and had a 25% unemployment rate. With what is going on, I can see similar disruption in the US if we follow some paths. That is the frightening scenario.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
LOLS. When Hillary was kissed by a KKK member and has ties to the KKK.. did you vote for her anyways? :)
windinhishair · 61-69, M
And people wonder how Hitler got entrenched in German politics. Watch this video and you'll see the parallels.
Fernie · F
@windinhishair They sure should watch that because it is causing disintegration in their party...yay
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Fernie Thank goodness there are still Republicans who won't go down that path. Bless them.
Fernie · F
@windinhishair I agree! Not enough yet though.
Sourdad · 56-60, M
It's bad, but it can get a whole lot worse.
Fernie · F
@Sourdad that's my concern...this is snowballing ... the orange demon has awakened his evil murderous minions and they are feeding the beast
