Is technology cause of depression? Debatable but hasn't stress, anxiety and depression been around pre hi tech days?

I believe the brain falls in to depression. Of course we're gonna blame external factors like mobile n social media "Too much time/ usage causes depression" rather than our own set of mind. Just like we blame obesity on fast foods. Do you go to fast food or does it come to you??? Then we say "Government not doing anything..." Etc.

They are [b][c=#008099][i]correlating [/i][/c][/b]the phenomenon that with the advent of social media there is a decrease in the ability of people to communicate in depth, engage in meaningful interpersonal attachments and form bonded family networks. In addition, feelings of isolation, dependency on instant gratification through gaming and social media, etc.

Resulting symptomatic effects..............increase of reports of depression and addiction behaviors.

I think it would be more accurate to say that our use of tech can contribute.
