I Am a Deep Thinker

[image deleted][c=#BF6900]I am a kid at heart. I enjoyed looking at this.[/c]

Back home, back to over-drive thinking again, like,

Why is it so hard for some to give without expecting anything in return? Everything they do is a kind of investment for their own interest. Why can't we, just be nice and kind, without any hidden agenda or intentions?....Some people only know to how to take and take. Is it a sign of lack in life? For how can one give, if his tank is empty?

We cringe at the mention of the word 'narcissist.' And yet, most of us are. We can't see the label of the jar we are in. How easy it is to forget that we should think less of ourselves and more of others. Albeit being good doesn't exempt one from disappointments.

Contrary to more popular trend, Christmas for me is a time to savour solitude, quitetude, peace and rest at home. An opportunity to ponder. The question is, have I given the real gift to people? Material things count, yes, as a show of appreciation and thankfulness, but more importantly, are precious time, effort, affection, to strangers, without expecting anything in return. This coming coming new year, I hope for more grace of giving.
