I Admire Honesty And Sincerity

I require honesty, which is why I have trouble with relationships. Why is it so difficult for people to do what they say they will do? Is that lying or another character flaw that they struggle with follow through? I am tired of the analysis, sorting through everyone's facades, white lies, exaggerations, and reindeer games. I don't play. I just observe.

Yes I am. I hold people to the same high, unrelenting standards I have for myself. Working on changing this.

@Rootstoblossom: you can only expect your high standards of yourself... be less demanding and more accepting you may see the problem disappear . People excel because they want to , not because they are told to

I understand. And I don't tell anyone to do anything, my demands are all silent. My conflict is never voiced when I observe so much deceit. It only triggers my inner alarm bells and makes me wonder why they need to lie and I get myself at a safe distance. Safety means being alone usually
