@ScrewThisImDone unfortunately there's likely to be some minor swelling along with the bruising, hence the pain felt when you put your leg in a certain position, most likely straight.

@Sapio I landed right on my knees on the curb, so I'd be more surprised if there weren't bruising. I put something that's supposed to help [i]relieve[/i] pain on it and now the whole area burns like a bitch. But it does help soothe it for a while afterwards.

@ScrewThisImDone alternate ice and heat for ten minutes at a time. It should help.
