How the hell do you get rid of wasps without them stinging you?

I have a huge ass nest by my garage, I tried to get rid of it... and the damned things went French Revolution on my ass and stung me 3 times. My right arm, shoulder, and wrist are swollen. 馃槪

Use the wasp sprays people have suggested. The ones that have the farthest reach, 15 to 20 feet. Get a few cans because you might waste one getting your aim right. Wait until early dawn or, preferably dusk, when the nest isn't active and all of them are in there. Use a flashlight if you decide to do it after dusk. Safest time. Completely soak the nest with the spray. I've done it many times. Never had an issue.

@SW-User Or just tell them you're out of gin and tonics. WASP's hate that.

@Harmonium1923 Very true. Lol.

@PainfulTruth makes me want to try it somewhere away from anything flammable, thanks for putting that idea into my head!

Wasp and hornet spray.... They also cant stand Downey drier sheets. If you have a place they like to try and nest every year...stick a few up in that area, they will stay away

I鈥檓 highly allergic to the stings so I wait until night with a spray that shoots a distance or a garden hose. Also have my epi-pen handy.

Late evening time....from a distance with that long range wasp/hornet killer. Shoot a stream soaking the nest from 20' away. Do it at night while the whole herd is home. When all is calm knock it down, take a shovel, pick up the mess and drown it in a bucket of water or burn it.

Do wear some long sleeve shirts and pants, and a head net if you have access. There are no guarantees, but that method has worked for me for a number of years.

There is a spray product that can spray 20(ish) feet. Spray and pray.

How were you trying to get rid of them? I usually shoot them down with a high pressure hose. This way I keep my distance plus it also dazes them. I also attack early in the morning when most or out looking for food.

You can also by the spray. Make sure you do that early in the morning.

There's a way to remove the nest without disturbing the wasps. Probably a fogger or something smokey, I'm not sure exactly.

get a can of wasp spray from the hardware store and blast them in the evening

@JoeMW no thats a terrible idea lol

12 gauge #9 shot will effectively disintegrate a nest and any wasps inside within 20-30 yards

Wait till after dark and spray it wit wasp or hornet spray.

Chuck something heavy. If you can knock it down, they'll abandon it.
