If you were walking your dog and saw someone being attacked by a mountain lion, would you send your dog into the fray to save the person?

Assuming you don't have a snack sized dog.

Go in myself wouldn't risk the dog. She thinks everyone wants to be her friend and she wouldn't make it.

@nedkelly That's not fair Ned! You know I would just stand there and watch!
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@curiosi You are correct, she is still a human being

@curiosi You guys...😂😂👍️
My response would be to confront the mountain lion myself. I never go hiking empty-handed.

I'd go after the mountain lion myself and try to choke it out to render it unconscience. Mountain lions are my favorite animals and I would do everything I could not to kill it.

Nah my dog would prob be the first one to run lol

So guess I gotta throw stuff at it and call for some help try to scare it away something 🤔
BigAssLeech · 31-35, M
My dog would try to befriend and play with the mountain lion.

So...no.

Depends...

Mountain Lions are pretty intelligent, contrary to popular belief, the tend to avoid/flee from people whenever possible. Someone would have to have done something pretty stupid to get attacked by one (back one into a corner, interfere with it's cubs, etc.). I've run across them on several occasions while hiking, they pay me no more mind than I do them...

So in the case of some ignorant tourist agitating one enough to get attacked, I'd probably just stand back and watch... 🤔

@Travelinman wouldn't last long... much like the cases where people get too close to a black bears cubs... one or two swipes from it's paws and it's all over... 🤔

@Travelinman Assuming it wasn't a libtard, and the dog had saved your child (or you) at some time past, would you step in and fight too?

I'd empty my weapon and hopefully the Lion won't get up.

@NativeOregonian self preservation.

No, I just couldn’t. Not the way I feel about animals. But I would damn sure do whatever else I could to help.
Though I'd feel mortified, but yes Absolutely. I'll save my kind!
NEVER

I'll do it

Shoot the bitch.
If I had a dog that could do some damage, sure, while calling 911 and/or Animal Control.
And being a “libtard”, I wouldn’t care about the person’s race, color or political beliefs. Their being human would suffice. 😳
