Chickens are actually quite incorrectly maligned. They are quite brave attacking foes many times their size. They protect their young, the rooster will call the rest to eat while he keeps guard and he eats last, they will absolutely destroy scorpions and centipedes
@xixgun Indeed. A few yrs back I lived on a farm. I lived in a cottage with 2 cats right next to the chickens which were free range. Once one of my cats started stalking a chick. The mother hen came out of nowhere and kicked my cat's butt. The cat never tried that again and showed great respect for the chickens. I also saw the hens defending their chicks against hawks. Sometimes the hen won the battle and sometimes not. They constantly defended their chicks with their lives.
