I am moving to Canada and I might adopt a pet bird when I get there.

I want to know how are vets in Canada and if they have pet grooming centres or any facilities to look over your pets while you're away. Are they expensive?
It is my guess that Canada has quite fine veterinary services (I’m in the US).

Pet medical care can be quite expensive, but Canadians will have to step up to that question.

At least birds don’t need dental care.

There’s only igloos and snow. Stay where you are.

@NiftyWhite So do I. Many Canadians are not aware of that bit of trivia. When I was in the reserves I took a course at CFB Borden near Barrie Ontario. One of the guys on course was bragging, "I have never been this far north". To which I replied, "I have never been this far south".

I’m about as south as you’re gonna get @hippyjoe1955

@NiftyWhite I live closer to the north pole than the equator but having driven 13 hours north and still not crossed the arctic circle you get and idea of how big Canada is. BTW I drove all that distance and had KFC for lunch.

If you are moving to Hemaruka AB there are no pet grooming centres or vets that look after birds.
