Would he remember me?

My cat has been missing since 24th January.
Would he still remember his name? Even if someone called him something else?
I think I've seen him but he didn't come to me he was keeping his distance but was curious

@horrorfreak if he wants to stay out that is fine. But I want him to be safe and yes last time he went vets some ideot ripped all his back claws. I'm not horrible to animals I've had them all my life.
He can be free if he wants to I just what to give him a once over and if he need help I can do that

@MiraRoss domesticated cats and dogs cannot survive in the wild. They need proper vaccination against disease. They need to be fed. Eating other animals in the wild is precisely how they acquire diseases. Rabies and distemper to start.
Wild animals belong in the wild not domesticated ones.

@JaggedLittlePill yes very true that's why I want to give him a check over redo his flea stuff and things. I now he'd want to still go out but protected will be better
