Would you be worried if your local government made this announcement about 14 lions ?

The local government in Limpopo province in South Africa announced today that 14 lions had been seen roaming outside Kruger National Park.
They have either escaped the park or come from elsewhere. But they're in your neighborhood so....don't panic !

Yep, we had an incident where someone had a pet tiger that escaped. It was spotted and had to be shot. No way there could be a happy ending.

@curiosi Damn. That's a pity. Us Humans have created these awkward situations ourselves but the animals usually suffer. I agree that Humans must get priority. It just sucks a bit.

@Wraithorn It was very sad. Tigers shouldn't be pet nor should any wild animal. I see now people are having fox's for pets. While they can be tamed, I find it a shame as the animal shelters are full of cats and dogs that can't find a home.

@curiosi Agreed.

Well yes. What's happening with that National Park?
I read about a leopard mauling a toddler too...yesterday I think.

@SW-User I don't know. Things often happen in 3's. So maybe a third thing is coming too.

@Wraithorn Scary

Makes the beast of Exmoor seem rather a non-story.

@TheConstantGardener Lol. Yeah. 14 ! Shit !

This may not end well...
Wraithorn · 51-55, M
@cherokeepatti It'll be interesting to see how this is solved. Catching 14 alive might take some time.

@Wraithorn yes and they have to make a strong effort to do it. Glad our lions are rare here, mountain lions have been known to stray through but they have plenty of wildlife for food and tend to be very stealth. Sometimes get caught on wildlife cams or hunters see their tracks down by the river south of the city.
