Which do you prefer cat or dog & why?

I like dogs but I realized they’re picky & more expensive to take care over cat.
If my pup dies, I’ll just have a cat.

Dog, my dog has so much more personality, and he wants to be with me constantly. I don't mind the extra expense at all. ☺
Indy74 · 46-50, F
@1Dogma that's absolutely perfect.☺
1Dogma · F
yeah sometimes they kick me out of bed and occupy my space. 😂@Indy74

I love both, but I'm way more a dog person. Relationship with dogs is more interactive, I want to share my happiness and receive the happiness of a dog.
Cats are ok, but usually more independent, they don't care a lot of what you do or say.

true. I talk to my dogs but they can easily get sick than cats which have 9 lives. @Sharky86
Let me tell you something about cats! If you look after them well without all that silly pampering that most do, they are one of the most demanding beings with whom you can share your home! Heaven help anyone who gives them a choice of food! Once they know there's a choice...you're doomed!! Having said that ...and, ohh, that's just about one percent of their pickiness...cats are absolutely brilliant! I love dogs, too and I think they don't suffer so much with that ridiculous coddling that cats receive. Half these dim-wits who have cats screw them up by having them de-clawed or they put little nail coverings on them - retards!!
1Dogma · F
thanks for the info...both could be nice pets at home.
Really...but nails are their armors from predators!@EugenieLaBorgia
@1Dogma I know a lot about cats and their nails - more than these profiteering vets.
I've had both but prefer dogs. I find cats far pickier than dogs - and I prefer a dog's easy and open affection to courting a cat 24/7. Cats are fun, too, though.

yes. cats seem listless while dogs can settle. @Mamapolo2016
Elisbch · M
I love both and I've had both. If I could have only one, I think it would be a dog but not entirely sure. It would be a hard decision to make.
1Dogma · F
watta great pet lover. @Elisbch
DavidScott · 51-55, M
Cats, because dogs are high maintenance.
1Dogma · F
that’s what I meant...yeah I might switch to cats if another dog dies. @DavidScott
Sharky86 · 36-40, M
@DavidScott Yeah they are high maintenance but for maintenance 10 they give you love 100!
cats are more tender but there is more met on a dog!
1Dogma · F
dogs are more huggable.@TiltingatWindmills
Sharky86 · 36-40, M
@1Dogma Yeaahhh big doggos 🤗❤️🤗❤️
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
picky? What have you got, some little yapper?
1Dogma · F
my dogs hardly eat dog food. They want the food on my plate. 😂@Jackaloftheazuresand

Have both, prefer cats. They aren’t as loud as dogs.

Wraithorn · 51-55, M
I love cats. They are my brethren.
1Dogma · F
they can be sweet and lighter @Wraithorn
Mrjingleswilly · 51-55, M
Dogs. Dogs are way better than cats.
1Dogma · F
I thought do. too.@Mrjingleswilly
I’d get another cat for the same reasons. I don’t think I’d get a dog unless I moved into a house with a yard.
1Dogma · F
yes they have vaccines but my pup still catch disease when I let her out whenever I’m home. Vet advised me to keep her inside. @bijouxbroussard
@1Dogma Your dog must be very sensitive. My friends’ dogs go out in the yard every day, see the vet regularly and are very healthy. They sleep inside, but they go out to “use the bathroom” and exercise.
1Dogma · F
I did the same coz they need to run around...she might be. Been sick for 2 consecutive months. She’s only 4 months. My 1 year old dog only got sick once.@bijouxbroussard
