Our standards for attractiveness are invented. In Victorian times, very chubby women were seen as very sexy because it implied they were affluent and had more than enough food to eat.
Now that food is widespread and most in the West have access to more than they need, being slim is pushed as "attractive".
For animals, we've never invented any such odd rules.
