Why would someone steal a cat?

I know someone has been taking him into there home because he smelt of perfume.
But yesterday he didn't come home he's always at the door at 5am every morning for his food and he's been gone two days. So I think they stole him, he never goes near anyone he doesn't know. Takes the piss.
Not too long ago someone was hurting him really bad.... What should I do?

I have two cats that are indoor only. I could never risk anything happening to them. They are rescues.

Do you know anyone in your area that smells like that perfume? Put up flyers. Put her pic on FB and here saying he/she is lost. I always share pics of lost animals. Remember, posting on the computer gets around fast.

When you get your little one back, don’t let him/her go outside anymore. You can bring some of the outdoors in, like rocks, grass, etc.
