What does it mean when your cat follows you on walks?

That they love you! Maybe it's pack instinct?

My cat Katie often did that, when I was walking Piper the dog. People frequently noticed, smiled and said something about it, when passing by. It meant she wanted to be with us.

I have one who does that.

Basically, that they’re attached to you. They are protecting you.

Hmmm not exactly sure other than affection for you ☺️, I remember my sister telling me about her cat bringing her mice 🐁 back... apparently it’s a sign that they love you 😍 meow 🐱

wants food LOL.....I have three cats and when I wake up and they follow me they want food

My black cat does just that. I'd like to think it means she loves me, but being a cat, who knows what she's thinking?
