Do insects and bugs have taste buds?

I had made some REALLY hot chicken wings and when I was done a fly landed on the chicken bone that was lying in the hot sauce.

Just curious if the fly regretted that decision thinking "WTF did I just taste?".

I remember and love they old Tobasco commercial. A guy eating a huge sloppy sandwich. Smothered in tobacco. A mosquito land on him, you see the mosquito insert it beak into the guys skin... Poof of smoke and gone in a little explosion

I've heard cayenne pepper repels ants but I don't know about other insects.
