@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON My dog. Is planning on offing the rest of the family, so she can have me all to herself. She's already told my wife. :P
@GwydionFrost 😆😂... Well in my house, we have three cats and a very small doggy, who has grown up with her sisters, so she considers them her pack!

Did I guesstimate her breed accurately? She looks like a cuddler and a snuggle bug 🤗

I am so happy that people like Cesar Milan defend and prove that pits are one of the best dogs ever. Actually any dog is the best dog ever.
It is not really a question of a breed, but it is a question of the person /owner, the leader of the pack of the dog(s).
Are they stable and consistent ?
Are they calm, kind, assertive and firm?
Do they respect the dog and her needs?
What energy is the person: high, medium , or low?
This is the kind of energy dog they need for compatibility.

I was so emotional and elated, watching a Cesar Milan episode...
So we had this very fun and hyper dog ( I forget her breed, she was not a pure pit, or Shepherd, or mastiff, or rotty, or Doberman. I think she may have been a pit mix).
Anyhow, this lovely girl was homed by a dog trainer (and her partner), who were both at wit's end. They had tired everything and the trainer, was a protege of Cesar.
You see, this dog was either level 10 (ALL the time :D )
or level 0 = sleeping...lol... .
But, that was not the biggest problem here.
This dog was lovely and had an energetic fun and kind personalty.
HOWEVER: When she was in the cage for people to come and visit with her
(to try to find a forever home) she'd get aggressive, snappy, etc.
NEVER did she act this way with the couple who had been living with her and *training* her, for I think more than half a year.

The couple faced a huge problem. She was incompatible with any human being(so far) and her energy was simply too much to handle for any household..They were in a bad conundrum.
Yes, they realized she'd be put down due to her consistent aggression, and incompatibility...
They refuse to let her die.
As a last resort... time for 911 CESAR MILAN!

Well , the rest is a happy and blissful history: Summation:

Dear Cesar, took her at once to his California Dog Psychology centre.
She was great with his pack she was a leader not a follower, not aggressive, and was not afraid or respectful. Great signs!
When they went out doors and Cesar threw the ball, OH MY GOSH!!!
SHE ran the fastest and always brought back the ball First. ALWAYS :)
She was in water pool, on walks, on runs (he roller blades or cycles)
and so on. She was ALWAYS busy and she was always full of energy.

Cesar is a brilliant dog analyst: HE understood, this lovely girl is not meant to be in a house with humans, as a PET. She is meant to work :D !!!
This is her purpose :)

She NEEDS to be busy and active all day. SHE NEEDS a JOB.
She is not a family pet. She is a working dog.

Enter the RETIRED POLICE OFFICER, who runs the place where they seek out and train Detection Dogs!!!

Oh my lord :D What utter joy , bliss and RELIEF!!!

She was stupendous. She was amazing . She fetched her ball in a box of hundreds of balls, every single time :D !!!

The retired police man was very happy and I think impressed.
He had a kind of nonchalant and kind demeanour.

So: She found her place in this world!!!
She found a man who understood her NEEDS (Cesar) and who was able to find her the perfect life that she was meant to have, that was compatible to HER needs. With the right person who will be her companion in her life purpose (retired police officer now working with Detective Dogs).

I think as a human being, that is all I could ever wish for in my life.

To seek and FIND my life purpose. And if I should stumble and lose my way, to be so blessed as to find a single soul to hold my hand and help me find my way again.

AMEN :)

(Sorry, for rambling.
That show I LOVE, I love Cesar
and for that episode even my mother was ecstatic :) )

Luna.

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON Yes, Lady is an American Staffordshire Terrier... aka, "pitbull". Although she takes more after the terrier genes than the bull, if you will, with the longer nose and leaner barrel chest... versus the usual pitbull.

And yes, she thinks she's more than just a lapdog. She literally will sit, leaning back on the couch, next to me, like any other human would, with her head on my shoulder.

She's pushed my wife out of the way, and children to the floor, just to claim that spot.

The only reason I relented to have her...? We have a really nice size fenced in back yard, where I can let her RUNNNNN. Because no dog like this should ever be confined to a small space.
