@DearAmbellina2113 My first thought when I hear a woman with a southern accent is Hot.
@DearAmbellina2113 Always be proud of where you came from, and the accent you grew up with.

I have a Southern accent so I think mine is normal. Not the rest of y'all. 😀

@SW-User exactly

I don't really have an opinion but yours is the one I try to emulate for speeches, presentations, conferences, etc. Can't give a talk sounding like an Appalachian hillbilly redneck (unless it's about Appalachian hillbilly rednecks) and have anyone take you seriously.

@SwampFlower Interesting! Is it hard to imitate that accent?
SwampFlower · 31-35, F
@Carver No. When I was in college I had a lot of Midwestern friends so I heard it a lot. My accent naturally lost a bit of it's edge over time there but came back whenever I was around southern people again. Anytime I had to do public speaking, I made sure to hang out with my friend from Cincinnati so it would be fresh. 😂

I usually think I have a typical American accent until I go somewhere else in the States and someone goes “Oh are you from New Jersey?”
I don’t hear it personally but apparently I have a decently thick Jersey accent

@JRVanguard Lol! No one has an accent until it gets pointed out. 😛

I find Antarctican accents the funniest ... the way those penguins honk just cracks me up.
