I Am Interested In the Paranormal

Yesterday my missus wanted to make popcorn but the scoop was nowhere to be found, it must have been knocked off and been on the shelf, the floor or somewhere but we couldn't find it. She made the popcorn and filled the void left by the scoop by putting a cup over it. I was just down in the kitchen 15 minutes ago, the scoop is in place on the popcorn maker. I went upstairs and asked where she found it, 'I didn't,' she replied. We've both just been downstairs and there it is, in place but covered in dust. Apparently the kitchen lights were on this morning too, neither of us went downstairs in the night and my partner turned them off last night. We have a dog who sleeps in the kitchen who has been a nuisance recently opening the doors and joining us at 4 am, so the kitchen door is held shut with a bungee cord. The dog made no fuss last night and the door was still shut this morning.
I don't believe in ghosts but wtf is going on here?
