I Am a Meat Eater

I haven't eaten meat since I was eight and saw chickens getting their throats cut; or once, in my grandmother's case, half cut with a blunt knife before escaping to fly all around the house. I know plants have a life of sorts, but somehow breaking off a leaf of lettuce isn't as traumatic - to me anyway! Where I live there are a lot of sheep which I regard as fluffy white replacements for grass mowers.

When I was ten I had to go into hospital. There was a bullying nurse on our ward who tried to force me to eat meat but I dug my heels in and despite the fact that I was normally docile, she backed down. A girl a year younger than me wasn't so lucky. She was forced to eat chicken despite the tears, and when she threw up was actually forced to eat some of that. I complained to the ward sister but nothing was done to the bitch. That memory has stayed with me!

Omg yes I have eaten less and less meat because of some farm killing videos, though I still need meat for my health somehow
