Do you sometimes feel guilty eating meat, if so, why?

I could never be a vegetarian or a vegan. I wish I could shiver in disgust the way they do at a steak or burger but I don't.
Bacon and egg.
Sirloin steak.
Roast chicken.
I don't even care if it is plain and without sauce or gravy.

P.S. I think it was a draw between swirlie and CULTure? I ended up blowing the pea out of my whistle.

I dont remember the last time I had it and it does gross me out in thought mostly. Not sure I'd feel guilty if I ate it. Sometimes when I can smell it because others around me are eating it I do get cravings. But thinking about the fact that I'm eating literal muscles and cells and fat of another living thing grosses me out too much to

@ianon I'm the same way. I want to eat it but it's too gross. I get intrusive thoughts about it.

@ianon Plants silently scream when you eat them, to me that's more horrifying than eating an animal that's already dead at least. Plants don't die right away, they just be sitting there all like---> 🥺

@SatanBurger Did I really just read a scientific article about scientists placing microphones near stressed out tomatoes?
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@SinlessOnslaught Yup. We all know that grass produces a smell when cut, it's kind of the same deal, it's stress signals. Which means eating them stresses them the F out. At least animals are like dead/dead and not halfway dead like plants.

I still eat lettuce though because it could have the argument that it's not exactly the same but still, stress is stress, the plant is still detecting a predator isn't it... 👀

@SatanBurger Plants actually feel stress?
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@SinlessOnslaught New studies have proven that plants feel stress yes but you can relax, plants don't have brains and technically "think." They can respond though so they know that something is happening and tries to respond appropriately:

I still eat both plants and meat but in my opinion, at least the animal is dead dead lol. Even though I still eat plants, it's always freaked me out a little that they're still alive when I eat them.

@SatanBurger I feel like a horrible creature now
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@SinlessOnslaught I don't. Plants and animals need each other to survive, it's this way on purpose. If you are bad then the millions of worms, bacteria, plants, animals are also equally terrible.
