when should i tell my toddler about a new sibling on the way?
i know its way to early now i just found out yesterday that i'm pregnant. but when should i tell my son that hes going to have a sibling?

Why not right away, if he/she is old enough to get the drift? I remember my Mom sitting down to read me a book (as she often did) and it was some type of sex ed for three year olds (undoubtedly Catholic approved) which showed that God had placed a growing baby in Mommy's tummy. I am sure I thought it pretty cool, but I don't remember being excited or even thinking all that much about it.

i think so maybe i need to sit him and my 2 youngest siblings down together. theyre the only ones that dont know yet

@rottenrobi: my mom suggested waiting til he can feel the baby kick it might be easier for him to understand than. but he may understand more when my sisterinlaw has her twins which is due in june

@rottenrobi: so go on and talk to him about it now even if he doesnt understand. maybe i should get some books about kids getting little siblings. like barenstein bears the new baby.
