Id tell the brat she can hold babies when she's older. And ignore the asinine parents who think their 7 year old is special. She's not. God, I hate parents like that.

I would say, 'I'm sorry, but I was told the flu is going around with children & I'm a bit overly-cautious, so prefer children not hold my baby'... or just say no & don't worry about what they think. It's your baby.

Wow them feeling offended because you don't want a child holding your baby is rude. Just say she's to young. That's it. She's your baby not theirs. If she dropped your baby nobody would be as upset and heart broken than you.
Be sure not to let the parents hold her or they might give the baby to their daughter.

You don't owe them an explanation. That's your baby, and you have every right to be protective, and keep your child safe. I would not allow a seven-year-old to hold my baby, either.
