Was there something you didn't get as a kid that might have changed you/your life for the better if you had?

@KimmyGary: ugh! that damages a kid. I got "you were a mistake" then abandoned emotionally....they had no idea what they were doing to us

Nothing that I can think of. I was pretty happy and grateful as a kid.

Support from my father in general, instead of insults and spite.

I didn't get the teachers support when it came to extra tuition before selection for Grammar school. I was as intelligent as the favoured ones, just not one of the particular teachers clique.
Fernie · F
that would have made some difference in your life I'm sure

A Grammar school education might have meant a university place, back when they were hard to get.

On a serious note, to go to a different high school. On a not serious note, a barbie dream house. I STILL want one 😒
Fernie · F
🤔 then you should get yourself one

Piano lessons.
Yep, parents who knew how to raise children.
Social acceptance amongst my peers. On the upside, I came to realize it wasn't that necessary for survival.
Fernie · F
I get that completely! Knowing it isn't necessary to survive is very freeing
