A lot of people your age don't, but find their parents magically get a lot more likable when you get 10 yrs older!

They are my parents. You could get into the adage of 'you love them but you don't like them' but that wouldn't help; besides, that's a different realm. You owe them for bringing you into the world, if you think you do or not, but in any event no-one can force anyone to 'like' their parents. It depends how deeply a person looks into what a parent actually is.

There are obvious reasons why someone might not like their parents; obvious enough that they don't need much explanation but that might possibly enter into realms of abuse.

Did I like my parents? Yes and when I look back I still like them.

I like mine a lot better as an adult because I no longer have to live with them. They were pretty emotionally abusive to growing up, especially as a teenager.

Some are good others should not even have kids .
Especially the ones that abuse them .
