On average how many times do you tell your kids to go to bed?

Tonight it was 3 times and I had to tell them if I had to tell them again their play date this Thursday with their friend would be cancelled.

They fell asleep in 5 minutes!

I'm lucky with that...my boy likes to read himself to sleep so he crawls in bed when I tell him and he's sleepy by the time I say lights out. Now how many times do I have to tell him to get dressed??? Oye vey!

@Archiesgirl: aw I know sometimes I just sit up and listen to the playground "gossip" my 10 yr old has started puberty and so sometimes he's very moody with me.
So I guess I do let them get away with it sometimes because I see that little kid still hanging on before puberty completely takes over 😬

It's funny because the giggles are over my son having a crush on a girl and my younger son thinking it's gross and the older one telling him "when you're older you'll understand" 😂😂😂😂

@Archiesgirl: oh my the BO struggle is real!!
Have you ever seen the comedia Gabriel Iglesias (fluffy) talk about coaxing his son to use deodorant?!
That's totally what I'm going through right now! Lol

My kids are evil maggots and pretend to go to bed straight away and then half an hour later it's like chaos. My five year old has to spray his whole room with monster spray two or three times each night and I often get reports of him spraying his brother repeatedly in the face after I leave the room. "I'm protecting him" he says. 😫

No you win!!! @resealableheart:

You'll have some awesome stories to tell when they're older and when they become parents you can feed the grandkids the ideas 😜

Oh I plan to. They aren't getting away with having easy children. Over my dead body!! One of mine is quite nice, so I might let him off, but the rest can suffer.

Bahahaha that's the plan!!! I have recorded some of the most me memorable moments as proof some of them will be going on a wedding dinner reel!!! Lol @resealableheart:

Most nights my son goes to bed without coaxing. About once a week or so we will get a night where it's, "I have to go potty," "What's that noise," "Can I get some water," "I have to go potty again," and on and on.
The weirdest one I ever got was when he came downstairs and announced his dolphin pillow pet wouldn't stop burping loudly and keeping him up.
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
Lol how old is he? That's too funny!
doodlebug2013 · 41-45, F
He's three. The dolphin really has a thing for burping from what he says.

@doodlebug2013: bahahaha that's too cute!!! Please enjoy it, it doesn't last

I don't like this question 😅
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
Hahaha sometimes I only have to tell them once others I feel like a broken record lol

I think it would be easier if they didn't share a room...
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
That's the difference between today's kids and yesterday's
When I was told I knew to go, no deals
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
@Tristemuneca: I did
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@Virgo79: I didn't I would be so bored at bedtime I'd knock right out lol

My oldest is too big for my to be hitting him, he generally does understand with words. But since he's starting puberty he's been pushing his little brother (7) away more now so bed time is the time they actually chit chat and giggle, and talk about my older sons crush on a girl & how my 7 year old thinks that's disgusting lol
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
@Tristemuneca: lol I know. I know how they do.
We used to get the giggles and all he'll broke loose, but we couldn't help it😊 it's funny to think back about it
