If your son declares “I sometimes felt like you loved the dog more than me”

Could you not cry? Is there any acceptable explanation to help dig you out of your very deep hole.

well the dog got all the best school clothes... you ever worn doggie handmedowns? seriously scarring stuff

@HeteroDox or, (wait for it...) ‘handmeowdowns’?!!

Sorry, that was dreadful. I will go back into my dog house.
Is this because Brutus rides up front?

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout 😂🤣😁👍️
Did he get to your truth?

@Elevatorpitches Parents are, well, some are very understanding and forgiving. They knew there was no ‘men’s rea’ in whatever you might have done. Take care.
@MrPoppins They were better people than I
MrPoppins · M
@Elevatorpitches if my senses are serving me well, I hear self admonishing, perhaps reflecting on negative things you did in your formative years. I could say, don’t whip yourself. But I don’t know the context (and neither is it my business), but, it would seem based on at least the few details you have shared, that your parents were ‘good’ people. I assume they have now sadly passed. Such good people would not , I think, ever want you to harbour on such things past. They would want you to go forward and maybe replicate their good values, perhaps in their honour. A thought, perhaps.

I had an old friend cancel an meetup because his dog was sick. I thought, that's the first time I've been stood up for a dog.
