@SW-User It's a really good card game about the rise of Fascism! 🥰

My mom is gone, but I made a few phone calls - both my brothers' wives and the younger brother's mother-in-law to wish them a happy. I will do the same for the daddies in the family on Father's Day. All the women were very much appreciative.

Got breakfast in bed - made cream scones for tea later in the day, and cut a fire break.

Phone call. I live about a thousand miles from my mother.

Nope. Mom's dead. No point.
MaryJanine · 61-69, F
@SW-User You could remember her. Mine is dead, too, but she was the woman who gave birth to me and raised me. I remembered her.
SW-User
@MaryJanine I remember her everyday. Don't need a holiday to remind me. Cheers to you, and your mom. I am sorry for your loss.

I arranged to have flowers sent and she received them on that Saturday. Then we talked on Sunday over the phone for a couple of hours. My mother’s not known for being demonstrative, but before we hung up I told her, “you know I’m going to hug you when I see you again—just warning you.”
She laughed and said “Chere, that will be fine.”

@bijouxbroussard You know your mom loves you. That's good. You don't have to convince me. When Mom was alive, I knew it, too. I sometimes think I didn't tell her quite enough in return.
