I need help controlling a bad habit

I get very nervous when my phone rings. Usually it's my Dad calling me. Lately he's been calling me almost every single day to check up on me and it bothers me alot. Sometimes the phone calls have not been pleasant. He got mad a me over the phone a few times.

Now, I have this bad habit of silencing phone calls in the hopes that I won't get calls from Dad. But this gets my mom frustrated because she called me once and got angry that my phone is off. I don't know how to control this habit that I have. Please help

You may have to talk to him and ask him not to speak to you like that or you will ignore his calls and that would be a bad thing to do during this pandemic as there should be love not fighting. And as for your mum talk to her and reassure her it's not intentional to miss her call but to protect your mental health. If she can talk to your it might help but if not understand that you are doing what you need to keep sane.
Then instead of letting her call, you call her.

And sometimes I get very nervous when other people like my mom or my sister are talking to Dad on the phone for fear that they might be talking about me. Once my sister had my dad on the speaker phone for a whole hour and it just bothered me

@youandme1995 sorry to hear that. I think this Is the perfect time to try and overcome those anxieties.
What's the worst thing your parents sister and family could say to you or about you?
Now why would they say that?
Is there some truth to it or not?
Can you work on improving yourself or not?

Its not easy I understand, but hopefully you'll figure it out. Good luck

I don't understand what is with the negative comments? I am asking for advice and all I am getting is comments that I need to be "acting my age" and that I am being a "mama's boy"!
