Lots of Sydney's in the states. If I met a dude named Sydney, I'd wonder what his parents were thinking. Lol so I guess it just depends on what you're used to.

@boklenholley7 I'd wonder what they were thinking if they stuck unwanted apostrophes in everything. But Sydney is definitely a guy's name. I'm a bit wary of going to the States after seeing some of the answers to this question.
pentacorn · F
it’s common enough in the states, spelled like that.

@BijouPleasurette lol... why in the world would you think i want you to do anything? 🙂
almost everyone thinks how they are taught to, or according to what’s familiar to them.
yours is not the only culture in the world.

@pentacorn I think the 17,000-plus others who live in my neighbourhood are familiar with the same things as me. Lol :)

They shagged in Australia and were shit at words?
BijouPleasurette · 36-40, F
@Thodsis Why is that an excuse to give a girl a guy's name? I mean, would you call your daughter John or Matthew or something like that? What's the difference?
GirlSerendipity · 26-30, F

First of all, you have spelled "Sydney" as a persons name, incorrectly.
The correct spelling is 'Sidney'
"Sidney" is actually a girl's name, not a boys name although some boys are named Sidney. But as funny as it seems that you refer to men as "blokes", the name "Sidney" actually originated in Great Britain!
As a choice of names for girls, the name "Sidney" for her is in the top 35% of all girl-name choices out there.
To spell "Sydney" as you have done, is actually the spelling of a geographic place, like Sydney Nova Scotia or Sydney Australia.[/c]
