How would you go through the pain of losing your loved ones?

I had a nightmare where my brother is dying and it kept me awake for the whole night. I always wondered if the idea of losing someone makes someone upset, how would someone go through it if it actually happened to them?

I lost my parents and 3 siblings all in 1 day. And there's nothing you can do about it. I spent many days in bed crying and to sick to even get up.

@quitwhendone well sometimes I can't talk about it. And then when I do on post like this I have to leave for awhile cuz it really makes me emotional.
@SW-User You are much stronger than me. <HUGS>

We all loose people sadly. And we all cope differently. There is no right way....just whats right for you. But you carry on. You have to. You just learn to be without them. Thats all. At your own pace. You just learn to cope. X

its the worst experience we can have in life, but death is a fact and we have to coop with it.
I had lost my father who died in between my arms, and doctors were helpless unable to do any thing.
lost my mother while I was away abroad.
we all will die someday, try to be strong. my prayers for your brother.

you must be pretty young because for us older folk this has likely happened already to someone we know. You get through it because you can’t lay down and die with them. Life goes on. No one who dies wants the living to die with them. .

@DoubleRings yeah I am in my late twenties. Only person that I knew who died was my grandfather. We weren't that close but I am sad that he's gone

Lost my father, almost lost my sister and mother, you do move on as you have too. What seems like mindless numb shits expressing here, you do move past and take in what you care again.

You allow yourself to grieve, as long as you need to. I have lost my father, my brother, and my daughter

@SW-User I am so sorry 😥

I am at that point now where it's easier to count my living relatives. I believe I only have one Aunt still living out of eight, and both of my parents have passed away, as well as a beloved Great-Aunt, and all of my grandparents.

For some of them, the agony of the loss was like being gut shot. When my father passed away, I would begin to cry uncontrollably every time I thought of his passing, and that went on for two years.

Each person is different and each loss is different.

I lost my brother when he was 19. It was an extremely painful thing to go through. Only time can make the scar of that emotional wound fade. Lots of time.

Considering the kind of people my family are. I can't wait to pull the plug.
JBird · F
@Thevy29 it doesn't necessarily needed to be your family. It can be anyone you love

Had a half sister die and didn't know it until a month ago. She's been dead for years.

It's hard but life just propels you forward. So eventually it gets easier.
