Yes and with my dad I'd ignore him but it went to a point where he thought it was okay to belittle me in such a way that I started standing up for myself, if that makes sense.

Yes very often. I tried to stand up for myself, but didn't really work well in my favour, so I learnt to ignore it

Yes. I ignored it at first. After awhile I got fed up with it and stood up for myself.

They try. But I'll drop them like a bad habit. I get my own money and do my own thing. So there is little they can tell me. I'll just ignore them if I can and just peace out if I cannot.

I HAVE been verbally attacked by multiple family members, and I just froze. Standing up for myself was WAY too dangerous. It would have brought on more attack. And ignoring them, was impossible. It was all just too painful.
