Why do women stay with a man after they have divorced him for cheating ?

greenmountaingal · 70-79, F Best Comment
Women tend to stay in love with men due to brain chemistry. They are nesters and tend to hang on. Even when they know better. Usually, divorce severs the connection. But not always. Then there is the economic side of things; most women do not earn enough to support themselves comfortably and safely without a man.

It's purely a financial issue.
@eMortal Not necessarily. That might make some sense.

@bijouxbroussard they stay in the same house because the husband can't afford a new home. Rarely someone with enough money will think of staying in the same with someone you don't love anymore. When they want to stay for kid, they don't divorce but live like an estranged couple.

Legit. That’s what’s going on @eMortal

My guess is fear, they fear being alone, they fear the healing process.

A bunch of reasons
You’d have to ask them.
Those who do have specific reasons, like children, or financial needs; some just don’t want to let go. But remember, they can’t stay with a man without his cooperation. If he hasn’t cut her loose, it’s not just her staying with him. They’re still a couple.
@whowasthatmaskedman For me, I think it would, because that would be a matter of trust that I couldn’t get back. But I’ve found not everyone feels that way.

@bijouxbroussard a couple that’s not in love and using eachother and cheating on one another when they aren’t getting along
@Guitarist07 I understand. But it still sounds like that’s the arrangement they have chosen.
