Is it weird to let your teenager sleep over at a friends house when there is school the next day?

And they are always spending the night at a friends house. What do their parents think? I'm asking cuz my husband always lets our teen spend the night at a friends house during the weekday. It makes me wonder what the other parents think of it? I wouldnt like it.

Do you/your husband know these friends, and have you followed up with them, personally, to ensure that your teen is actually there when s/he says they're there?

If not, well...prepare for a big, potentially unpleasant surprise.

@morrgin If you "have no say" in the life of a child you're helping to raise, then you have a hell of a lot bigger problem than where she's staying on a school night.

@morrgin That's where I'd start...if you can. If you can't, then it's time to reexamine your relationship status.

Seems like a weird thing to do.

@Arorin the only time my parents let a friend spend the night repeatedly with school the next day is if they had problems at home

@morrgin the weekday should be structured I think for the benefit of the child. But your example of a troubled home is a good exception.

There would have to be special situation for that to happen.
I think it’s not good
