What is one thing your parents would always tell you as a kid that really got on your nerves?

As much as I love fruit, it really annoyed me as a kid whenever my mom would tell me to go eat fruit every time I told her I was hungry. Thanks mom, but what I mean is it's time for lunch. XD

I had a very big appetite (lol I still do). When my stomach felt empty, it was time to eat. 🤣

@DearAmbellina2113 lol that is not how children work when it comes to jealousy 😂 kids are honest, so when they bully they mean it! Kids can be awful. xD

Every time I felt fat and ugly they told me that one day I would grow up and see how irrelevant these problems were. Or when I was too much interested in boys, they used to tell me that I had time for that.

When i told them about an abusive teacher at school, they said i had an very active imagination. Then years later when he went to jail, my mom said, oh why didn't you tell us? 🙄

@NiftyWhite Well we're talking about the past. As time goes on when we become adults, it's perfectly fine to use that on kids. XD

You can get a real kick out of it if a kid says "because I said so" to you! XD I have to admit that I said that as a kid to my parents when they really upset me, and they couldn't help themselves but crack up, which made me even more upset. 😂

Nah it didn’t bother me because i understood it. I understood it as they were the parent and i’m the child and explanations or justifications are not required. Which sometimes is how it should be. I think we over explain shit to kids nowadays.
