I used to be. We still get along well when we meet from time to time.

My sister & I have done a lot of repair work on our relationship the last 5 years or so. I’m happy that we did she’s so important to me.
Meanwhile I haven’t spoken to my brother by choice in 8 years. I don’t speak to his wife & their toddler daughter doesn’t know me.
Sometimes it does make me sad to see others so close with their brothers & bonding with their nieces & nephews.
But I’m not sad that I don’t have a relationship with him. I’m sad that he makes it so I can’t fathom having one with him.
