Was there a point in your life where you started to take your parents and their affection towards you for granted?

Never ever in my life
Not in wildest dreams either

My parents are my heaven.

when I was little I knew that they loved me and so I suppose I did take it for granted. I really thought at the time thats how things were for everyone. It was only later I realized that it wasnt. I was very lucky 💘

I think everyone does from birth because you are young and naive about how the world really is therefore you don’t realize how rare having someone who truly loves you is but then as you get older eventually you realize that and start to truly appreciate your parents and their love
There is not affection. Or respect. My parent sees me as property-and I'm in my 60's. Talk about living in the past!!!!!
There was never any affection. I was only an obligation created by my mother and father, whom they despised.
Probably mostly when I was a child. Certainly not since I’ve been an adult. They were there for me when I was widowed and lost my child. And when I almost died in 2008, they never left my side. At one point they sat in chairs by my hospital bed all night long.
