For those who have had babies:

My baby was born two weeks after the due date. It's dangerous coz the baby is fully grown and I would suggest they go for a cesarean operation. Please tell her that. Normal delivery is life threatening.

However, it's actually much more common for a firstborn to be born early than on the exact due date, and it's very rare for a firstborn to be born [i]after[/i], especially over a week. That may be why they are trying to force labor.

It depends on the condition of the mother and the weight of the child. I was induced and had emergency c-section both times because my kids’ were growing too fast for my placenta to keep to full term. Their father is scandinavian and the kids up there are usually very large at birth. So both times 3.5 weeks before due date.
Not a disaster.
I am more worried about the age of the child becoming a mother. It is tough business if you do it right. I hope she realizes how much help she will need.

I don't know my daughter was 2 weeks late... She is 4 and my world.... When she is with her mom she is always saying I want daddy..... I have full custody.

a school friend went past her due date and the baby got strangled up in the cord /around the neck and the baby died
