Do you or did you have permissive parents?
Did it work out well or not? I read some kids end up resenting their parents for not giving them more boundaries and rules.

Yeah, my single overworked dad was busy with work until evening so I could do whatever I wanted really. I think he did well 😊
I lived in the middle of nowhere with literally no neighbors though, so I couldn't really unleash much hell other than running around in the woods or mountains in my pajamas

@morrgin It's hard to say! I [i]want[/i] to say that it'd probably still be fine because I'm pretty careful by nature, but then again I'm probably careful by nature because I often lowkey raised myself, so...
I think you need [i]certain[/i] boundaries and rules, as long as you also have a certain level of support and understanding of[i] why[/i] when someone breaks those rules.
